Bleach Headcanon #1 - Gin's eyes change color
We've all wondered why Gin rarely opens his eyes. Well, it's often said that the eyes are a window into one's soul, and it's very easy to read someone's basic thoughts (not exact thoughts, mind you) or mood by looking into someone's eyes. It's also easy to see if someone is lying by looking into their eyes.
As many of us have noticed, Gin's eyes are almost never consistent in color. I've seen red once, blue several times, and I was informed that they were even yellow at one point. This drives me to conclude that Gin's eye color changes dramatically depending on his mood. Red is angry, yellow is devious, and blue is calm, or possibly sad (might depend on the shade). This would explain why he keeps his eyes (nearly) closed at all times: he doesn't want people to see what he's thinking, or how he's feeling. If they do, it's not as easy to manipulate them into following his plans.
